The Lorenzo Swinton Gallery is proud to announce the exhibition “In My Lifetime” Vol 2 featuring the works of legendary storyteller and artist Michael “Ol Skool” Mucker hosted by Jay “Ghost” Sanchez.

Artist Michael Mucker can pinpoint the moment when he decided to become an artist. Faced with a world in constant flux, personal style becomes a beacon, distinguishing one’s art amidst the chaos. Yet, the journey to visual recognition is fraught with challenges.  

Through a dynamic interplay of music and visuals, Michael Mucker weaves a deeply personal narrative. His art pays homage to a generation predicted to fade away before reaching 25 years old, yet resiliently thriving against the odds. 

Revisiting hip-hop classics with the wisdom of age, he ponders: what would we tell our younger selves? Maturity demands growth, pushing us to evolve into better human beings. To achieve this, he identifies the pivotal moment when life changed, returning to his younger selves to teach self-expression, free from societal repression. 

Michael Mucker’s latest body of work is an exploration of identity, growth, and the transcendent power of music and art to heal, inspire, and unite.
